SPRING met Ways to Submit van Ira Brand
Met deze voorstelling over dominantie en onderwerping onderzoekt performer Ira Brand de manier waarop we toegeven en hoe we controle nemen. Fysiek, psychologisch, seksueel, sociaal. Via ons lichaam, ons taalgebruik en via machtstructuren.
Ways to submit nodigt je uit voor een reeks complexe, glibberige uitwisselingen, die de ruimte van het theater overstijgen en vragen oproepen over observatie, participatie, gender, macht en plezier. Elke avond anders, een provocerende en speelse reflectie van wie er in de zaal is en wat we allemaal meebrengen.
De Theaterkrant schreef over de voorstelling: “Ira Brand doet op intrigerende wijze live (bewegings)onderzoek naar de menselijke verhoudingen, wat een boeiend sociaal spel oplevert, ook voor de passieve kijker.”
Na afloop van de voorstelling kan er nagepraat worden bij de post show conversation. Ira Brand’s nieuwe voorstelling Runner beleeft zijn wereldpremière tijdens SPRING Performing Arts Festival 2025.

De Theaterkrant wrote about the performance: “Ira Brand intriguingly does live (movement) research into human relationships, which produces a fascinating social play, also for the passive viewer. Ways to submit provides an enormous amount of information about people's behavior and physicality and drags you - also as a viewer - into all the social and psychological questions the proposal raises.”
